Waitlist edition

This covers the waitlist at /join — the sign-up before PaceStory launches on January 1, 2027. It’s written to be read, not decoded.

What we store

When you join the start list, we keep only what you type:

• First name — to greet you and put a name on your lane.
• Email — to confirm your spot and send a few updates.
• School or team (optional) — to line you up with your program.
• Role — athlete, parent, or coach.
• Timestamps for your sign-up and your age-note agreement, and, if you came from a specific link, which one (so we know which meets and channels are working).

Double opt-in

After you sign up we email you a confirmation link. Your spot isn’t active until you click it. No confirmation, no list — that’s how we keep the start list real.

We never sell athlete data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data — ever. We use Supabase to store it and Resend to send the confirmation and updates. That’s it.

Minors (COPPA)

PaceStory is for athletes 13 and older, or for a parent/guardian signing up on an athlete’s behalf. We don’t knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 signed up, email us and we’ll delete it right away.

Unsubscribe & deletion

Every email has an unsubscribe link. To be removed from the waitlist entirely, email privacy@pacestory.run and we’ll delete your record.

Changes

If this policy changes before launch, we’ll update this page. Questions? Same address: privacy@pacestory.run.
